Why we are raising funds:
The World Health Organization reported that rates of depression and anxiety increased nearly 50% worldwide from 1990 to 2013. It is projected that in 36 of the largest countries, 12 billion days of lost productivity are attributable to depression and anxiety every year. We believe this indicates a real need for counseling services and our goal is to help by reducing one of the most common barriers to receiving care.
We are raising funds in order to provide financial assistance to those who need counseling and cannot otherwise afford it. We believe in counseling and the benefits it provides and want everyone to have equal access to counseling, no matter the cost.
